Philosophy.
We know that we cannot change the world all by ourselves. Actually, we only seek to create and influence small networks of individuals. But, we do have a vision that these small networks, together, can change the world. Often, individuals have trouble finding social networks that are just, progressive, and altruistic. As a result, they have trouble developing and funding ideas. In order to address this potential waste of talent and giftedness, MAWMedia encourages micro-enterprise and small business activity by providing investment, expertise, consulting and other resources free of charge. Why? Because MAWMedia believes that "When you succeed, we succeed!"
Licensing and Profit Sharing.
§General Terms. MAWMedia Group negotiates ownership and royalty fees with partners on a "percentage effort" model. A licensed project is the term used to describe an idea that a partner has collaborated with MAWMedia to develop. A standard relationship in which MAWMedia provides infrastructure, media development, and research services produces a 75% percentage effort for MAWMedia and a 25% percentage effort for the partner who developed the idea. Ownership and royalty fees on this model are paid when any profits are made on a licensed project. Percentage effort is only claimed by MAWMedia in its areas of operation: Infrastructure, Media Services, and Research Services. MAWMedia percentage effort is always 1-3 units at 25% each, and is therefore always 25%, 50% or 75%.
Extramural Research.
We base our approach on research in human behavior, social systems, and learning theory. Individuals often make negatively reinforcing decisions and behave in sometimes unpredictable ways. Yet, human systems always seek order and purpose. Our research into so-called sociocybernetics (the science of systems) explores the complexity of individual choice in the context of his/her environment.
We look for partners that have similar interests in human behavior, systems, learning and other related aspects of self-development and community development. Partners can connect with MAWMedia in two distinct ways:
InGroup is a social network made up of individuals who have accepted an invitation to challenge themselves and the rest of the team to greater self-development and collaborative outcomes. Each InGroup member is identifiable by his/her expertise, which is shared among the team through regular group meetings and informal group contacts.
Collaborators are individuals who are external to the InGroup social network. Collaborators take many forms: mentors, financial backers, contract workers, friends, spouses, or family. Collaborators are stakeholders in the overall success and often the individual projects undertaken by MAWMedia Group.
